"Christians" persecuting Christians

This is an instructive little passage on why Christians are persecuted by supposed "members" of the body of Christ:
They will put you out of the synagogues. Indeed, the hour is coming when whoever kills you will think he is offering service to God. And they will do these things because they have not known the Father, nor me. But I have said these things to you, that when their hour comes you may remember that I told them to you. (John 16:2-)
This teaching follows a similar thought which Scriptures discusses in the New Testament, namely that being a Christian means having the Spirit of God within you, to seal the faith that's been worked in the believer. It also shows that being a "member" of a church or synagogue is no guarantee that a person is a believer with the Father dwelling inside them.

So if a faithful believer - or pastor - is persecuted by members of his church, this is probably one of the reasons why.

Nice one, Tim.

In my own little congregation, there are those that believe our good and faithful pastor to be out of his mind.
